Today we’re going to talk about Opulentia, a long-term program that’s been around for a little over a month. The program opened February 8th, 2011 and has been generating a good deal of attention in the industry lately. I’m going to skip around in this review because I’m feeling frivolous today. So I’m going to start of talking about the site. The FAQ answers most of the commonly asked questions:

• Liberty Reserve (LR), Perfect Money (PM) and Global Digital Pay (GDP) e-currencies are accepted.
• Withdraw requests are normally processed within 24 hours.
• Minimum deposit is $1.00.

Overall, I have no complaints with the construction of the site. The design is clean and the security of the site is top-notch. Opulentia is hosted on an enterprise server with Black Lotus Communications, the same host I personally deal with, and I have had no issues with their quality. There is also SSL encryption on the site through Alpha. The thing that I like best about the site is the continuity the Whois Search shows an address in Switzerland, at the bottom of the website there’s a red box with the word “Swiss” in it. Everything just seems to flow together in pleasing way. Does this mean the program will be successful? No, but it does show that the site wasn’t hastily put together and it may be a reflection on the program as a whole.

Lets take a moment to talk about the plans offered by Opulentia. First, there are only two plans, the daily or the weekly. The Daily Plan offers 2.15% daily for 365 days. Payments are made Monday through Friday. The minimum required to invest is only $1.00, so it is accessible to nearly any potential investor with the desire to invest. So, if you were to invest $100, you should receive $2.15 daily for a year, receiving a total of $784.75. At the end of the investment term your original investment should also be returned so you’re looking at $884.75 total from your $100 investment. Break even point for the investment is after 47 business days, so we’re looking at a relatively short investment period before you could be in profit.

The second plan is the Weekly Plan. The Weekly Plan offers 11% weekly for 55 weeks. So, if you invested $100, you should receive $11 weekly. Honestly, the daily plan pays out only $0.25 less per week at a significantly lower risk of loss, so I wouldn’t bother investing in anything other than the Daily Plan if you decided to invest with Opulentia.

Speaking of risk, let’s take a moment to remind everyone again that HYIPs are extremely risky ventures. It is very possible that if you invest into a high yield investment program, you will not make money and you will lose your entire investment (or most of it) when the program closes. If you have decided you are going to take the chance, please only invest what you are willing to lose.

Moving along, Opulentia, having been online for a bit over a month, I decided to take a look at their Alexa graph and perform a bit of a traffic analysis.

Looking at the past month’s trend we notice the initial spike most programs receive upon start, followed by a drop and then an incline through February. We’ve seen the opposite, however, in March with a steady decline occurring. Surprisingly enough, I find this decline a bit refreshing. It really makes sense in the second month for a program like this to have a decline. Depending on how the administration reacts, we could see an early end to the program, or we could see a potential industry leader emerge in ongoing months. Which will happen? I have no idea.

But, I can tell you the admin isn’t fudging their Alexa graph in an attempt to look better in the eyes of the people who rely solely on Alexa traffic graphs (you’d be surprised). I for one just use the trends as indicators. I believe Opulentia is at a stage where one of two things could happen, the program could close in the next couple of weeks, or we see a short plateau before continuous growth in the program.

Because we can’t put too much faith in an Alexa graph, I decided to pull out some more statistics and do a forum popularity analysis:

A bit more promising in my opinion than the Alexa graph seems. We see an average of 20 or so posts per day in each forum thread, with page views around an average 250 per forum daily. So, the interest is there, people are still interested in making money. I just hope they have the opportunity to visit and read my (or another like it) site that warns of the risk of loss involved with these sort of programs.

Well, we’ve looked at quite a bit of information that shows that Opulentia isn’t throwing any wild warning signs. In fact I’d say the opposite, the program is steadily moving along. It’s listed on some of the biggest monitors including HYIPNews.com, Goldpoll and MNO. There’s a bit of risk involved because Opulentia hasn’t generated a demanding lead in the industry straight out of the gate, but there is definitely the potential. Potential for what, I’m not sure.
