HYIP Monitors: Monitoring HYIPs

14. Nov,2010

This article is going to talk about HYIP Monitors. Monitors are a unique part of the HYIP industry and can be used as a research tool if used with extreme caution. The purpose of this article is to describe how monitor work, give insight into the deals monitors make, and give potential investors knowledge about HYIP monitors so they will be able to use monitors as a tool in their individual research of HYIP programs. There are several definitions that fit well with what monitors do in our industry:

monitor mon·i·tor (ˈmän-ət-ər)

  1. a person or piece of equipment that warns, checks, controls, or keeps a continuous record of something.
  2. a device or arrangement for observing, detecting, or recording the operation of a machine or system, esp. an automatic control system.
  3. something that serves to remind or give warning.

A HYIP Monitor is a website that watches high-yield investment programs and reports if the program is paying investors*. Monitors come in all shapes and sizes, and there are literally hundreds if not thousands of monitoring sites in the industry. The simplest of the monitors is a simple list, displaying any number of HYIPs, that displays the status of a HYIP, the most complicated of monitor sites have their own forums and even blogs. The three major statuses used are Paying, Waiting and Problem. Here are some definitions of the statuses:

  • Paying: the HYIP is paying investors* at this time on time and there are no issues with the program at this time.
  • Waiting: this status can also be listed as Awaiting or Pending. The waiting/pending status is typically used to show that the monitor has not yet received first payment from the HYIP. Some monitors use the pending status to show that there have been recent problems with the program and they are waiting to see if the program continues to pay normally.
  • Problem: this status is also sometimes listed as Not Paying, Closed or Scam. Programs with this status have stopped paying investors and have turned into scams, or in some situations have closed and refunded investors.

In theory, the service performed by monitors is valuable to the HYIP investor. They track payments made by a HYIP program and report to investors if a program is paying. This report provides investors with information, giving the investor, without risk of their own money, a record of payments made by the HYIP. Similar to stock investing programs where a person can invest a fictional portfolio, HYIP monitors allow a potential investor to see what programs are paying* so they could, if they desired, track any number of listed programs and determine the profit (or loss) that the investor could realize.

Unfortunately, the majority of monitors in our industry are flawed and provide little to no real useful information for potential HYIP investors, in fact, most monitors have a negative impact on HYIP programs, increasing the risk of loss for potential investors. Let me explain why this is true.

Most monitors are paid by HYIP programs to list the HYIP program. In return, the HYIP monitor receives a “bonus” into the program, or a deposit of a predetermined amount.

* Some monitors will list a program as Paying for as long as that program is paying the monitor, regardless of whether or not the program is paying other investors.

Herein lies the problem, the typical monitor doesn’t tell you the method behind their monitoring service. You as an investor don’t know if the monitor is actually checking to make sure if all investors are being paid, or if they’re just listing the program as paying because they continue to be paid. That is why it is so important to do research on a HYIP program and use many different research tools. Never invest in a program because a single site has it listed favorably.

I will tell all of you readers now, if any program stops paying to any investor, I will list them under Problem/Closed Programs. It is never my intention to mislead, and I only want to provide information that is useful to my readers.

HYIPBlogger.com is a monitor in a sense as it has a monitoring page; however, there are some subtle yet important differences that distinguish HYIPBlogger’s monitoring page from the service provided by traditional HYIP monitors. First, HYIPBlogger’s monitoring page does not display the status of a HYIP, meaning I never state that the HYIP is paying on my monitoring page. There are three unique sections on the monitoring page: Featured Programs, Watchlist, and Problem/Closed Programs.

The Featured Programs section is merely an account of my personal investments with HYIP programs. Unlike most HYIP monitors, the amount invested into each program is my own money. HYIPBlogger sells reviews and advertising packages on this site. When an advertising package is purchased by a HYIP, I personally invest a portion of that money into the program. I do this to track the program, make sure it is paying all investors, and to provide as much information as possible to my readers about HYIP programs that are featured on this site.

The Watchlist section is a listing of programs that are experiencing issues. For example, I may not have been able to log into the site, their banners are experiencing problems loading, or I have a pending payment and payments before that date were instant. These are programs I have not confirmed they are closed; however, they are worth watching and should not be invested into.

The Problem/Closed Programs section is a list of programs that purchased an advertising package and are no longer paying to investors. If a program begins selective payments I will also list it in this section. I list program that have turned scam in this section instead of immediately removing them only to provide warning to my readers that the particular program is not paying investors.

Another difference between HYIPBlogger.com and other monitoring sites is there are no referral links listed on HYIPBlogger’s monitoring page or anywhere else on the website. HYIPBlogger.com does not promote or recommend investment into HYIP programs. This website is only designed to provide information about the HYIP industry, programs within it, and HYIP investing in general.

HYIPBlogger.com, unlike most sites in this industry does not participate in link exchanges with monitor sites. However, as this article is directly about HYIP Monitors, below is a list of some of the more established monitors in the industry. PLEASE NOTE I do not watch or keep track of any of the below monitors and as such cannot confirm they are listing HYIP programs correctly. Use of any of the below monitor sites is at your own risk, and any information taken from them should be confirmed by multiple sources. Monitors should only be used as a research tool, one of many tools to be used by someone interested in HYIP investing.

interesting article tony. I have to say though there are reliable and honest monitors out there, and i know you werent tarring us all with the same brush! I guess as a monitor myself i should be telling people how different an honest monitor can be , and how that benefits the investor in his due diligence. Not all monitors are the same, and i think those that invest with their own money.offer RCB, and refuse bonus money from admins to reinvest is a good start to discerning whether a monitor is unbiased, just a start..

Tony, no I’m definitely not trying to imply that all monitors are dishonest, only that a HYIP investor cannot solely rely on monitors to determine their investments. It is necessary for investors to utilize multiple tools in their research.
